Finexia confirms early learning group Shared Beginnings place in administration

ASX listed financial services Group Finexia has confirmed that Shared Beginnings, its early learning subsidiary, has been placed in voluntary administration.
The Group, which consists of seven centres located across Queensland (2), Victoria (3) and the ACT (2) and traded under the Shared Beginnings brand originally came under Finexia’s stewardship after the collapse of Genius Early Learning in March 2025.
Finexia operated the businesses since then but recently made the decision to cease providing financial support to the Shared Beginnings subsidiary which has in turn accelerated the decision to address the remaining seven centres that were trading.
The decision followed “a prolonged and costly recovery journey that has not yielded the results the Board had hoped for,” the company noted.
Shared Beginnings joins a growing list of Early Learning businesses being transferred across to administrators with Edge Early Learning and Orchard Early Learning more recent examples and Genius Childcare and Finnish Early Education two others of note.
